Webinar Series: Amplifying Patient Advocacy for Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)

Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) presents a significant global health threat across diverse sectors, including in humans, animals, plants, food, and the environment.

The multisectoral approach to addressing AMR in these sectors is termed One Health. In 2019, the Global Research on Antimicrobial Resistance (GRAM) report found that 1.27 million deaths were directly attributed to bacterial AMR alone.

The European Patients’ Forum (EPF) and The AMR Narrative are organising a webinar series to create an exchange space for diverse groups of patients, carers, survivors and civil society organisations impacted by AMR who want to advance advocacy efforts. This series will aim to discuss how to empower patients to shape and share their own stories and advocate for ambitious policy action in this crucial area of global health sustainability and security.

  • Webinar 1: Patient Advocacy on AMR in the EU: where do we begin? – 20 June 2024, 3 – 4pm CEST
